Ella Grace Paterson - Photography Portfolio
With photography as my primary discipline, I have worked within the arts industry and other creative fields for over four years, incorporating documentary, portraiture, commercial, live music, and experimental photography, along with curatorial experience and projects.
I have also worked with self-publication, publishing two books of poetic verse and photographic media. I am extremely interested in furthering my academic study, not only in tangible photographic practice, but through a wider curatorial lens, focusing on collaboration and experimental practice in regards to the audience’s experience.
I have included examples of experimentation with Polaroid photography, as well as street and documentary photography, and portraiture.
I have also included, listed below, links to a further scope of each project or series, as well as some other self-directed photography series or curatorial projects.
The first two images are from a self-directed project of documentary photography, Perseerence. This photo series and accompanying in-conversation essay documents the last days of the Chen family in the family business they had run for the last thirty years. It documents the emotional milestone and discusses the role of first-generation Malaysian immigrants in rural Australia. The full essay and photo series can be explored here.
